Jr. Guards Swim Conditioning Program (Ages 7-17) 2026
Get ready for an awesome summer with our Jr. Guards Swim Conditioning Program! This week-long summer intensive is designed to help participants build endurance, improve swim technique, and get in top shape for the Jr. Lifeguard season. Whether you’re preparing for a tryout or just looking to strengthen your skills, this program will help you feel more confident in the water. Throughout the week, swimmers will focus on conditioning both in and out of the pool, participate in water games, and connect with new friends—all while having a ton of fun!
Dates:
- Session 1: April 20th – April 24th
- Session 2: May 4th – May 8th
Time:
5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
What to Bring:
- Swimsuit
- Goggles
- Towel

- Tennis Shoes

Junior Lifeguard Prep - Spring
Swimmers will build endurance, stamina, and speed while preparing for the Junior Lifeguard tryout. Training focuses on meeting key skills requirements, including:
- Swimming 100 yards in 3 minutes,
- Treading water for 3 minutes,
- Swimming 10 yards underwater.
This program is led by a YMCA Swim Instructor and focuses on building strength, endurance, and technique in a supportive and motivating environment.

Masters Swim - Spring
The YMCA Masters Swim program is designed to provide lap swimming workouts for adults of all levels seeking to develop their technique, stroke mechanics, and overall physical fitness. Our practices are led by experienced coaches who love to share their passion for swimming with others.
It is recommended that participants have the ability to swim 50-100 yards comfortably. While the workouts can be tailored to ability level, this is not a learn-to-swim program.
