• • Day 1: Round Robin
  • Day 2: Single elimination with a consolation bracket. 
  • Games are played to 15 pts, or 20 minutes – whichever comes first

This is a one day 3v3 Tournament. Games will be played first to 11 points or whichever team is winning after 15-minutes. The tournament will start off with a Round Robin to determine the seeding. After the round robin there will be a single game elimination tournament.

Teams: Each player needs to register to play. Please have your teammates register at the same time to ensure playing on the same team. You can have up to 6 players on your team. You need to be atleast 16 to play in the tournament. After you register you will be contacted about your team to build your roster.

Please Note: This league is intended to uphold positive competition, where all participants are able to enjoy the sport in a friendly environment. Sportsmanship is highly valued at the YMCA, and all players are required to sign a Code of Conduct prior to play.

You will be working with a Certified Pickleball Coach in a small group of players within a similar skill range. Be prepared to work on specific skills through drilling and feedback, but rest assured there will be plenty of gameplay!

Beginner lessons are intended for students who are still very new to Pickleball. However, it is highly recommended that players participate in our Intro to Pickleball Clinic or have some other exposure to the sport prior to taking Group Lessons. If each player already has a basic understanding of scoring/rules, it will allow us to make the most of everyone’s time!

New to pickleball, but coming from a background in other sports? A good way to gauge your level is to take our Intro to Pickleball clinic to learn what’s different about Pickleball. You may be ready to jump right into intermediate lessons depending on how you do in the Intro clinic.

Welcome to Pickleball at the Ventura Y!

This “Intro To Pickleball” class is intended for those who are curious about this very fun and very popular sport, but may have never played before. Our goal is to prepare you to jump into Beginner or Intermediate Open Play Pickleball sessions, and hopefully inspire you to grow a love of the sport.  All ages are welcome!

We will cover the following:

• Scoring and Rules
• Etiquette and Sportsmanship
• How Open Play Pickleball works at the Ventura Y
• Basics of Technique and Strategy

This class will consist of discussion, demonstrations, and practice time dedicated to drills and scrimmages on the court!

Learn the rules and scoring of the game. This clinic is taught by a pickleball instructor, a paddle and balls are provided.

By registering you will be sharing your contact information with other interested Pickleball players.

• Round Robin with a championship game.
• Games are played for 10 minutes time. Whoever is ahead at the end of the 10 minutes wins the game.
• Each team will have about 5 games throughout the Tournament

• This tournament is broken into 3 divisions: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced.
• It is your responsibility to sign up for what suits your level the best. You may use a DUPR rating to help determine this if you have one, or simply your best judgment. Please reach out to [email protected] if you would like guidance.

• Participants can register either as a free agent or as a team (each team member must register independently).
• Teams must have 2 players but no more than 3.

We will be holding a 3v3 Adult Basketball tournament for our Summer Staycation event!

There is a registration fee per team NOT per person

Half court 3v3 tournament style games will be held on Saturday August 9th.

Novice session will consist of 40 minutes of introductory instruction followed by Round Robin Tournament.
