Come take part in our 4v4 Adult Basketball League! This 8-week coed league includes one game per week and one week of division playoffs. Teams will be registered by their captains. Teams can have a max of 10 players. Games will be held on Tuesdays.

All ability levels are welcome and encouraged to participate!

Beginner lessons are intended for students who are still very new to Pickleball. This “Intro To Pickleball” class is intended for those who are curious about this very fun and very popular sport, but may have never played before. Our goal is to prepare you to jump into Beginner or Intermediate Open Play Pickleball sessions, and hopefully inspire you to grow a love of the sport.  All ages are welcome!

• How Open Play Pickleball works at the Ventura Y
• Basics of Technique and Strategy

This class will consist of discussion, demonstrations, and practice time dedicated to drills and scrimmages on the court!

Welcome to our New Year’s Tournament at the Ventura Family YMCA!

Important Registration Information

• This tournament is for both Members or Nonmembers of the Y.
• All levels are welcome. Please register for the most appropriate option based on your own self-assessment of skill.
• Players may sign up as a free agent or as a team
  • For teams: Each individual participant must register and include their teammate’s name when filling out the registration questions
  • Free agents: You will be randomly placed with a partner, with whom you will remain a team for the duration of the tournament

Tournament Details

Tournament Style: Round Robin

Saturday Afternoon:

All teams will play 2-3 games

• • Beginner/Intermediate: Games will take place between 1pm and 3pm
  • Intermediate/Advanced: Games will take place between 3pm and 5pm

Sunday Afternoon:

All teams will play 2-3 more games against new opponents; PLUS a championship game will be played between the top 2 scoring teams

• • Beginner/Intermediate: Games will take place between 11:30am and 2pm
  • Intermediate/Advanced: Games will take place between 2pm and 5pm

Scoring: Games played to 11, straight up. (Championship game will be win by 2)

Prize: Bragging rights and a medal!

Courts: There will be one official playing court running at a time;  2 warmup courts may be available throughout the tournament to use in your downtime between games.

Sportsmanship: The Y is dedicated to creating a welcoming environment, where FUN & positivity is the priority! Pickleball Etiquette is to be followed.
