Youth Overnight Camp
In Sleepaway Camp at Lake Sequoia, adventure time is always on. In this program, campers are immersed outdoors, staying in cabins during the night and exploring nature throughout the day. Activities include hiking, sports, crafts, and recreational water activities. Campers will come home with an adventurous spirit and new friends.
A $250 weekly deposit is required at time of registration.
Program/Activity Cancellation Policy:
Program deposits are non-refundable and are not transferable. Certain programs have a clearly stated no-refund policy at time of enrollment. Programs canceled two weeks in advance of the program start date will receive a full refund, minus any required deposit or uniform charge. There are no refunds after this point unless the fee was charged in error or there is a documented medical reason. Program cancelations must be received in writing.
Sequoia Sleepaway Camp (Teen Ages 13-17)
At YMCA Camp Gaines, campers will have the chance to spend a week unplugged from technology, connecting with their peers and discovering their fullest potential.
$985 per camper ($250 deposit required at registration). Full balance due by July 1, 2025 (will be automatically deducted).
Camp will run from July 20th– 25th 2025. Transportation to camp departs from Ventura Family YMCA, 3760 Telegraph Road, Ventura, CA 93003 on Sunday July 20th.

Sequoia Sleepaway Camp CIT (Age 17)
The Counselor-in-Training Program teaches teens the job skills necessary to be a counselor and strong employee.
The camp environment provides a unique opportunity for teens to build leadership skills, particularly in assisting counselors with younger campers.
Counselors in Training (CITs) are provided with first-hand experience working with campers and the opportunity to cultivate skills and knowledge in the away camp setting.
CITs are selected through an application and interview process. Space is limited to 10 participants. Age 17.
To apply, interested teens must register online and pay the camp deposit. If the camper is not selected the YMCA will refund the deposit made. $490 per CIT ($250 deposit required at registration) balance due by July 1, 2025 (will be automatic) July 20st – 25th 2025
