Come learn how to play chess. This class will teach you the basics of chess and also improve their chess playing skills. Teaching opening moves, strategies to gain an advantage, and traps to outsmart your opponent.

In Drama/ Musical Theater at the Y, it is our goal for every child to find joy expressing themselves and honing their skills in performing arts. In this beginner level program, all participants will have the opportunity to shine!

Creative improv exercises, acting practice, vocal drills, and theater dance choreography are all incorporated into this exciting program.

By the end of the session, a small production will be performed by the students. Active attendance is mandatory throughout the session to ensure that children fulfil their given role.

*** Ventura YMCA Spring Performance Arts Recital will be held for all Dance and Musical Theater participants on Tuesday, June 3rd!
