This adaptive cooking class is a great introduction to home cooking techniques. Run by former Cold Steel Chef, Linda Crockett, we will learn knife skills, food safety, kitchen safety, etiquette, and how to cook different types of meals, including side dishes.

Join us on the field for an exciting Adaptive Baseball/ T-Ball experience that promises fun, fitness, and friendship for children ages 5-17 with special needs!

These will include coordination, balance, tumbling, strength, flexibility and body awareness activities with equipment that includes balance beams, tumbling mats and more. To the best of our ability, instruction and activities are adapted to meet each participant’s skill level and learning style. Participants have fun and gain self-confidence as they try new things and improve their skills alongside new friends.

*Parent participation may be required at the discretion of the instructor. Safety is a priority, and parents are expected to provide 1 on 1 assistance for their child when needed.  Instructor ratio is 4:1 or lower depending upon enrollment.

Kick into Fun with Adaptive Kickball at the YMCA!

Join us on the field for an adaptive kickball experience that promises fun, fitness, and friendship!

Come out and join a fun group of youth and adults for semi-structured practice and play of wheelchair sports/recreational games with the support of our experienced wheelchair sports coaches. Learn, practice and socialize with other adaptive athletes and their families.

This drop-in program takes place on the YMCA Outdoor Sports court.
The focus will be on sports and games for wheelchair users however, adaptive athletes who are able to participate standing are very welcome.

Sign-ups are required for each date offered. Registration will close the Friday before class. All abilities ages 6 yrs and up are welcome.

Parents of players under 18 are required to stay for the entire class and may be asked to assist.
Participants should bring their own every day or sports wheelchair. The Y currently has very few to loan.
