Splashball

Splashball is a fun, safe way to introduce kids to the sport of Water Polo by incorporating swimming skills, safety, teamwork and the fundamentals of the game. If you have a child who loves the water and could play in it all day, Splashball may be the activity you’ve been looking for to entertain your little fish!


Fundamentals (Ages 6-12) - Spring

Pass, shoot, tread water! In this class, participants will learn the basics of splash ball in a safe and fun environment. To participate in this class, all swimmers must be a Stage 5 level or higher (be able to swim 2-4 lengths of the pool continuously and tread water for 1 minute).

Program Objectives:

  • Head-up freestyle, 200 yds.
  • Treading water, 5-10 mins.
  • Sculling
  • Wet pass
  • Dry pass
  • Ready position
  • Leg leads
  • In-water communication
  • Traveling with ball
  • Shooting the ball

This class is held in the lap pool.
