Martial Arts
Martial arts are a great way to develop balance, coordination, speed and strength, while building self-confidence and discipline in an encouraging, non-intimidating environment. Our classes focus on fitness and conditioning as well as teaching the movements and stances of each martial arts discipline.
Tae Kwon Do (Ages 4-7) - Summer
Martial arts classes at the Y consist of stretches, kicking, meditation, spatial awareness, coordination and rhythm. Martial arts students develop a greater sense of self-respect and inner harmony while learning effective self-defense techniques. Embracing the physical, mental and spiritual element of martial arts helps to improve focus and emotional health while strengthening the body.
